Tragic Two killed, one crushed by oncoming train

Ten men waylaid a family on Rajhana-Samundari Road and snatched valuables from them

Two men were shot dead and a woman died in a road accident on Monday.

Police said a teenager was shot dead in Shadab Colony, in a Jhang Bazaar police precinct, for resisting robbery early morning on Monday. Police said that four men forced entry into Tassawar Husain’s house in Shadab Colony and held the family at gunpoint. They said Hussain’s 18-year-old son resisted the robbers. They shot him dead and fled with the stolen valuables. The boy died before he could be treated.


Separately, a man was shot dead by his rivals in Chak 403-RB. Tandlianwala Saddar police said Allah Ditta Baloch’s rival Manzoor and his accomplices shot him dead. They said they had registered a case and were investigating.

A woman was crossing the railway track near the Dinga Phattak in a Thikriwala police precinct when she was run over by a train. Police said Abida, 30, a resident of Chak 289-RB, was crushed by a train from Faisalabad. They said they had handed over her body to her family.   Separately, 10 men snatched Rs25,000, four tola gold jewellery and cell phones from a family in a Mureedwala police precinct on Saturday night. Shahbaz Hussain, a resident of Chak 223-RB, Bhojian, was on his way home from Burewala with his family when 10 men waylaid them on the Rajhana-Samundari Road and snatched valuables from them. Police said they had registered a case against unidentified suspects.
