Pak-Afghan Border: Customs station computerized

Besides transparency, it would also yield an increase in revenue

KURRAM: Kharlachi customs station at the border of Pakistan and Afghanistan in Kurram Agency has been computerised to facilitate traders at the border and  bring transparency in the system, said a  press statement. “Land has also been acquired for establishing modern custom stations at Kharlachi, Borki and Tri Mengal,” it added. The statement also lauded the services of Collector Customs for taking keen interest in the automation of the customs station in the Kurram Agency. After installation of one customs online system, the Kharlachi station has been linked with computers all over the country, enabling exporters and importers to get all the facilities at the borders. Besides transparency, it would also yield an increase in revenue.
