KARACHI:

Police and Rangers have compiled a list of 107 'most sensitive' educational institutes out of 33,549 schools, colleges and universities all over Sindh.

This was revealed at a press conference by South DIG Dr Jameel Ahmed on Thursday where he explained measures to make educational institutes more secure.

Institutes need to be made secure through physical security, technical security and security awareness, said Ahmed.

To make the education institutes physically safe, the official proposed each institute should have a concrete boundary wall of eight to 10 feet with a barbed-wire fence and watch towers.

To make schools' infrastructure technically secure, installation of CCTV cameras, and link with local police is needed, he added. He also suggested involving the parents in preparations for potential emergency situations.
