Poetic justice

Katrina Kaif says she is tired of being called ‘hard-working’ all the time

MUMBAI:
Bollywood beauty Katrina Kaif shared that while she is frequently complimented for being “hardworking,” she would prefer more poetic adjectives. “I have said this before, I want to hear more adjectives,” she said, during promotions of her upcoming film, Fitoor. “I want to hear dream-like, talented, wistful or beautiful – something more poetic.”

Kaif’s statement came as a response to a query about how actor Salman khan called her the “most hardworking woman” he knew. Earlier, Khan – who has worked with Kaif in Ek Tha Tiger – likened her to a “mazdoor,” while her Fitoor co-star Tabu also claimed she is the “most hardworking actor.”

Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif call it quits?

Kaif, in return, seems to have mixed feelings about the tag. “If my co-stars feel that I am a good worker, then that’s good because there is so much riding on a film. Everyone puts in so much effort, money and life. The least one can do is give it your best, work as much as you can with a full heart, and leave the rest up to God,” shared the 32-year-old star.

Although Kaif has been exceptionally busy promoting Fitoor in cities across India, she shows no signs of backing down. “If I had my way, I would have gone to every city or at least eight or nine more. But there is only so much time and we can only do that much,” she said. “Fitoor is a film we really believe in and made with a lot of passion. We have done everything we can to make the audience aware of it. Now, we have our fingers crossed and are hoping Friday is a good day.”

Fitoor – directed by Abhishek Kapoor – will be releasing on February 12.
