He remained under medical observation for more than four hours and was later discharged on doctors’ advice.
According to one of his near friends, Musharraf had no chest pain or heart related complication.
“The pain was so acute [in his spinal cord] that the former president was rushed to the hospital and remained in the intensive care unit for a few hours,” he said, adding, “He is in stable condition now.”

Musharraf was taken back to home after a medical examination, he added. “He could be looked after better at home,” the aide said.
The former president on January 18 was acquitted in the murder case of Jamhoori Watan Party (JWP) leader Nawab Akbar Bugti.
Bugti was killed in a military operation in 2006.
