The House Of Kamiar Rokni

While trends fade, style remains eternal and one piece can be put together in many different ways. In this feature we have three fashionistas showing us how to put together an item from a designers collection, according to their individual style and taste!

We have here a classic House of Kamiar Rokni jacket with strong motifs and colour. It’s bold, vibrant, fun, and multi-purpose. Thread embroidery mixed with bugle beads add a subtle shimmer to the piece. This versatile piece can be worn to parties and weddings and is a definitive blend of the East and West.

I love wearing white, especially with strong colour and for me this look was all about combining different textures. The studs on my Cavalli top combined with the shimmer on the jacket create an interesting mix of metallic looks and the shredded jeans add a slightly casual touch, as it is very important for me to not have a look that is too serious. The fringed Louboutin heels add a pop of colour and give the look a whimsical feel. Additionally, I paired a pair of panther hoops and a polki turtle ring from my private collection to complete the look.

This jacket is very pretty! The intricate embroidery details and intense colours make it so special. I wore it with a white Muse mohair sweater and black skirt. The sweater added a touch of relaxed elegance and the jacket on top gave the subtle outfit some flair. I would wear this to a fashion event, like a fashion show or even a birthday dinner. I paired it with Rene Caovilla hot pink shoes to complement the colours in the jacket. I would also wear it with high heels to make the look sexier or with jeans and a man’s shirt.

Sometimes with fashion, like with all things in life, a woman’s got to improvise. And so, when I realised I had forgotten my white T shirt at home, I played it cool, removed one layer and kept on the bandeau I was wearing underneath! I do love playing with contrasting colours and these yellow trousers were an obvious choice for my aesthetic, with Kami’s embellished blue jacket draped over the shoulders. The bandeau broke the rigid structure of the outfit, and the yellow and blue came together to create an elegance I adore. I added neutral snakeskin textured heels and kept the look minimal as far as make-up and accessories went.
