Annie and John Betar have been together for 83 years now. Their lives are extraordinary and their attachment awe-inspiring.
John saw Annie when they were 20 and 17, respectively. She would go for a walk along with her friends in the morning when John used to come in his 1932 Ford Roadster, giving them a lift.

Annie’s father wanted her to marry with an older man as the country was still coping with the Great Depression. However, by then little cupid had already targeted her with feelings for John.
Therefore, listening to her heart, Annie ran away with John, eloping in Harrison, New York to start a life anew.
Now more than eight decades later, they have 14 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; having seen the dynamics of this world change like anything, taking it all in together.
