Wekh Lahore : Bigger event next year: WCLA
Authority will soon compile photos in a coffee table book
LAHORE:
Walled City of Lahore Authority (WCLA) Deputy Director (Media and Marketing) Tania Qureshi said on Tuesday that in view of the success of the Wekh Lahore photo contest and exhibition the authority is considering to hold the event at a bigger scale at Lahore Fort next year.
She was speaking to The Express Tribune on the second day of the exhibition. Earlier, the WCLA announced that it would soon compile and publish the selected photographs in the form of a coffee table book.
Robina Rehman, a visitor, said that most photos displayed at the exhibition had sought to bring out the beauty of the Walled City. She said photographers should also highlight the problems plaguing the area. “Such photographs do not fully represent the area. They end up romanticising rather harsh experience of the city’s residents,” she said.
