Spurned: Security guard shoots student

An FIR was registered against the security guard for pestering student to be friends

A security guard shot a student of Government High School Dilokhel in Lakki Marwat on Tuesday after the latter refused to invite him to a party.


An insider told The Express Tribune, 16-year-old Haris Khan had promised 23-year-old Asif Iqbal, a security guard at his school, that he would invite him to a party.

“However, Haris and his friends organised a party before their exams and the security guards was not invited,” he said. “When Iqbal came to know about this, he arrived at the venue and opened fire on Haris.”

The 16-year-old was critically injured and rushed to the hospital.

An FIR was registered against the security guard for pestering student to be friends.
