Vigilance: Stage performers issued warnings

An actor has also been told off for using foul language during stage plays

MULTAN:

Three theatre artists in Multan have been issued a warning to dress modestly and stop using offensive language or face a ban. District Vigilance Committee on Showbiz In-charge Khizar Abbas Khaki told journalists on Monday that they have been keeping a stern check on stage plays, theatre performances and film screenings in the district. He said that it was their job to set parameters for the kind of entertainment being offered at public theatres and cinemas. Khaki said two actresses had been told to dress modestly and follow the approved dress code for their stage performances. An actor has also been told off for using foul language during stage plays, Khaki said.
