LAHORE:

Malaysian High Commissioner to Pakistan Dr Hasrul Sani Mujtaba said on Monday that China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project would open up tremendous opportunities and Malaysia wants to be a part of this new era of economic development in Pakistan.

In a meeting with the Punjab Board of Investment and Trade (PBIT) chairman here, he said that apart from China and Turkey, Pakistan should also focus on the potential of the Association of South east Asian Nations (ASEAN).

Mujtaba urged the PBIT to encourage Pakistani business community to participate in the upcoming conference in Pangkor Island in September, and in the Malaysian International Halal Expo 2016. Mujtaba said that he would hold a meeting with the Punjab chief minister to discuss the existing bilateral trade potential that needed to be translated into reality.
