Injured constable dies
Nasir Khan was undergoing treatment at LRH after he was injured in an attack a few days ago
A constable of the counter-terrorism department (CTD) Nasir Khan, who was injured in a criminal attack in Phandu, succumbed to his injuries at Lady Reading Hospital (LRH) Saturday night.
He was targeted by two motorcyclists on his way to work on Thursday. Both assailants managed to escape after committing the crime. Nasir was a constable of CTD and was deployed at Khan Raziq police station.
“He was hit in the head and underwent an emergency operation to remove the bullet. He was then placed in intensive care, but succumbed to his injuries Saturday night,” said a police official deployed at LRH.
His last rites were offered in Qayyumabad and he was later laid to rest at his ancestral graveyard.
