‘Difficult Paper’: Teachers demand lenient marking

They feared many students would fail and teachers would be punished for poor performance

RAWALPINDI:
Teachers in Rawalpindi have demanded “lenient marking” of the English language paper of grade five, saying the paper was “very tough, out of course, matric-level”. Punjab Examination Commission is currently conducting primary and middle school exams across the province. Punjab Teachers Union president Sajjad Kazmi and SES Teachers Association president Muhammad Shafiq Bhalwalia said the paper was way difficult for grade five students. They feared many students would fail and teachers would be punished for poor performance.
