Devta, was one of Nawab's most famous Urdu novels, is the longest Urdu novel published in over 25 years.

Funeral prayers of the deceased were offered in Karachi during afternoon prayers, at Ayesha Masjid, Gulshan-e-Ghazali (Near Millat Town, Azeem Pura), Shah Faisal Colony area.
