PAS awards: Nominations invited for science awards

ISLAMABAD:
Pakistan Academy of Sciences (PAS) has invited nominations for the gold medals and prizes to be awarded to local scientists in 2016, who have made outstanding contributions to scientific research. According to the nomination procedure, only one nomination can be made in each subject by fellows of the academy, vice chancellors/rectors of universities and heads of organisations engaged in scientific education and research. Talking to APP the Executive Director of the Pakistan Academy of Sciences, Subhanuddin said that the applications for nominations of the awards must reach on or before February 29, to the office of PAS. He said that the PAS holds these nominations for gold medal award every year, aimed at encouraging scientists working in different universities of Pakistan.
