The One Belt, One Road cooperation strategy of China will bring a major breakthrough in socio-economic ties between Islamabad and Beijing by enhancing people-to-people contacts between the two nations, commented Shah Faisal Afridi, President of the Pak-China Joint Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
He was of the view that Pakistan government’s decision to join hands with China and other Asian countries in projects and organisations stemmed from the desire to build economic and political linkages.

“The revival of Silk Route will be a big advantage to all those countries situated along the economic belt of this route, which will ultimately add strategic and economic value to Pakistan,” Afridi said at a ceremony held to greet Chinese friends and businessmen on the Chinese New Year.
He was of the view that Pakistan government’s decision to join hands with China and other Asian countries in projects and organisations stemmed from the desire to build economic and political linkages.
