Insaf’s version: IDF criticises protests

IDF representatives suggested government go ahead with the MTI act and ignore those who were against it

PESHAWAR:

Insaf Doctors Forum criticised the strike held by other doctors association against Medical Teaching Institution (MTI) Act and said the act is in fact in favour of both patients and doctors.

At a news conference held in Peshawar Press Club on Thursday, IDF representatives Dr Kamran and Dr Nasir Khan, along with other doctors, criticised the strike of other doctors associations against the act and said it was a ploy for political scoring. They said MTI reforms will not only improve hospitals but will also benefit patients and doctors. Talking to journalists, Kamran said some doctors were only fighting for their own benefit and did not care about patients and hospital improvement. IDF representatives suggested government go ahead with the MTI act and ignore those who were against it. IDF is backed by the ruling party, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf.
