Church funds: Petition against man for misappropriating money
The bishop requested the court to direct the Model Town SHO to register a case against him
LAHORE:
An additional district and sessions judge on Tuesday sought comments from the Model Town SHO in connection with a bishop’s petition against a man accused of misappropriating funds. Petitioner Bishop Khalid Pervaiz told the church that the accused had been provided funds to have a portion of a church where he worked constructed. He said the man in question had misappropriated the funds. Pervaiz said he had been threatening the church administration of dire consequences after being asked to return the money. The bishop requested the court to direct the Model Town SHO to register a case against him.
