LAHORE:

An additional district and sessions judge on Tuesday summoned the Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) Mozang SDO for failing to comply with court directives.

Petitioner Tahir Sultan, an advocate, told the court that the respondent had removed an electricity meter in the absence of the petitioner on January 15 in contravention of a stay order. Sultan said he had neither been given a receipt nor was the reading noted. He said this amounted to theft on part of the respondent.

Sultan said he had filed a petition to have the connection—that had been illegally disconnected—restored by the SDO. He said he had time and again called on him in vain as he had explicitly refused to honour court directives wherein he had been instructed to restore the connection.

The judge summoned the SDO before the court for failing to act on its instructions.
