Security Concerns : Pindi district courts evacuated again
There are eight entry points to the courts, two of them unmanned by police.
RAWALPINDI:
Rawalpindi district courts were evacuated for a second time in three days due to security concerns. Judges put off hearing in all cases after they were requested to do so by security officials. The court premises had been evacuated by 9:30am. Earlier, the courts were evacuated after threats of a terrorist attack on Saturday. Police high-ups visited the courts to review security last week but no visible improvement has taken place. There are eight entry points to the courts, two of them unmanned by police. The two walk-through gates and 14 CCTV cameras installed at premises are all dysfunctional. Further, police do not check anybody in a police uniform or court dress.
