PESHAWAR:
Since fuel prices have reduced, the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa government reduced public transport fares on Monday.
As larger passenger vehicles run on diesel, the fare regulations only apply to vehicles running on that fuel. The price of diesel is now Rs75.79 per litre. The existing concession of 50% in the actual fare for students of seminaries, educational institutions, the blind, people with disabilities and passengers above the age of 60 years will remain as is.
In case the air conditioning system is not working in the air-conditioned vehicles, then fares of standard passenger coach will be charged.
