The child was brutally assaulted and left semiconscious in a deserted plot in the Wazir Bagh area of Yaktot police precincts Saturday evening. An official from Yaktot police station told The Express Tribune that the child had gone missing while playing outside her home in the afternoon. The girl was found after a frantic search in a vacant plot and was moved to the Lady Reading Hospital (LRH), he said. “This girl was bleeding, unable to stand or even talk. We were also informed,” said the police official. Her father is a poor daily wage earner, he added. “Police have arrested a suspect, a 35-year-old man.
