Suspension: HESCO’s 42 grid stations lose power

Reports from different districts suggested the outage lasted from six to 12 hours, till evening

The suspension of power supply from the national grid affected 70 per cent of the area under the jurisdiction of the Hyderabad Electric Supply Company (Hesco), which supplies power to 14 districts of Sindh. According to Hesco spokesperson Sadiq Kubar, 42 grid stations were shut down for three hours from 6am. The supply restoration began from 9am onward. Kubar said the fault occurred in the National Transmission and Dispatch Company’s 500KV line. Reports from different districts suggested the outage lasted from six to 12 hours, till evening.
