UNHCR Meeting: Zehri urges Afghans to go home

QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minister Sanaullah Zehri said on Thursday that the Afghan refugees should leave Pakistan honourably to resettle in their own country. He was talking to a delegation of UNHCR led by its representative in Pakistan Indrika Ratwatte. The delegation informed the CM about the UNCHR projects in refugee hosting areas. One such project is establishing trauma centre, provision of water and up-grading of boys schools in Dalbandin. Ratwatte also invited Zehri to attend the inauguration of Women Technical Training Centre in Loralai on February 24. Zehri said people of Afghanistan and Balochistan have been neighbours for centuries. “We respect our neighbours and our guests, but the Afghan refugees living in Balochistan must realise that they have to follow the local laws and abide by the rules and regulations devised by international bodies.”
