PESHAWAR:
The provincial government of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) has approached the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) in a bid to have its recently established Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Economic Zones Development and Management Company (KPEZDMC) registered. Talking to APP, Industries, Commerce and Technical Department Assistant Economic Advisor Munir Gul said the decision was taken in the meeting of the Board of Directors (BoD). He said that in this connection, the department has formally approached SECP. The public sector development company was earlier registered with the Industries Department, which allows it to operate only within K-P while its registration under Section 42 of the Companies Act will mandate it to work across the country.
