Army chief vows to make Karachi terror free

Following a review meeting on the ongoing operation in the city, Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif has vowed to go to any length for a secure and terror-free Karachi.

“The COAS vowed to go to any length for a secure and terror free Karachi to ensure a peaceful and fearless routine daily life for people of Karachi,” the ISPR said on Wednesday.



Besides the operation, General Raheel was also briefed on the continuing intelligence-based operations (IBOs) in the metropolis.

Apex committee decides to intensify Karachi operation

Expressing his satisfaction over the operation, he appreciated the paramilitary Rangers and other law enforcement agencies for improving the city's security environment.

The COAS commended the intelligence agencies for achieving major breakthroughs in unearthing various terrorists’ networks in their bid to dismantle terror infrastructure and sever their nexus with terrorists’ cells and bases outside Karachi.
