New singers: PNCA holds talent hunt programme

The first three positions were bagged by Mishal Parveen, Alisia Gulzar, and Nisha Samuel respectively

ISLAMABAD:


Pakistan National Arts Council (PNCA) held a talent hunt programme for young and amateur singers on Tuesday, said a press release.


About 30 young girls, aged 15 to 25 years, participated in the competition by singing different genres of music, including folk and film songs.


PNCA Director-General Muhammad Naeem appreciated the talent of the participants. He assured that PNCA would promote the young talent of the country in different forms of art and would provide
them with a platform to exhibit their creative abilities.


The first three positions were bagged by Mishal Parveen, Alisia Gulzar, and Nisha Samuel respectively.


Second phase of the programme, for boys, will be held on January 28.


Participants said they were excited to get the opportunity to perform at the Pakistan National Council of the Arts. They thanked the council for arranging the programme.
