Parking fee issue: CBH accused of defying SC’s orders
Khan was addressing a press conference on Monday
HYDERABAD:
The Sindh Bus Owners Association has accused the Cantonment Board of Hyderabad of defying the Supreme Court order with regard to the parking fee and transport stop issues. The association’s president Mir Afzal Khan said that the CBH’s review petition in an earlier apex court’s 2015 and Sindh High Court’s 2007 judgment was dismissed on Jan 12. Khan was addressing a press conference on Monday. “But, they still continue to charge the parking fee in several commercial localities in the CBH areas in violation of the earlier orders and fresh dismissal of the review petition,” he claimed lamenting that the district administration, the police and Regional Transport Authority all have failed to implement the decision. He appealed the army chief, corps commander, general officer commanding Hyderabad and Sindh chief secretary to take notice of the violation.
