Where’s the heat? Low gas pressure hits locals
SNGPL official Imran Khan said pressure is at the lowest when it is cold, but improves when the sun comes out
HARIPUR:
Residents of different Ghazi tehsil localities complained of low gas pressure they have had to deal with during the last few days, disrupting their routine activity. Locals of Jalo, Khalo, Pahi, Kundi, Hamlet, Ghazi city and Wapda colonies were among those affected.
Meanwhile, SNGPL official Imran Khan said pressure is at the lowest when it is cold, but improves when the sun comes out. He said the main supply for Ghazi tehsil was eight inches in diameter which ensured the uninterrupted transmission of gas to consumers on routine days. He said there was no load-shedding necessary for Ghazi tehsil as there was plenty of gas for the number of consumers.

Nazeer, a resident of Hamlet Colony, said gas pressure was particularly low during breakfast and dinner time. As a result, locals, who are not used to using other sources of fuel, are facing tremendous difficulty while cooking.
He added the working class and students were the worst hit. According to Malik Fazal of Pahi village, consumers were even unable to turn on their gas heaters or geysers in this cold wave.
