Jolted: Tremors felt in Chitral

Consequently, a stampede was caused where several people were injured

CHITRAL:
An earthquake measuring a magnitude of 4.8 jolted parts of Chitral, Malakand, Upper Dir and Lower Dir early on Saturday morning. The tremors caused panic among the locals. The epicentre of the earthquake was Hindu Kush region, Afghanistan. However, no major damage was reported from the district. Residents of Chitral told journalists they evacuated the buildings and rushed outside as soon as the tremors were felt. Consequently, a stampede was caused where several people were injured.
