Security measures: NADRA blacklists 0.1m Afghan refugees
NADRA has started investigation and also requested security agencies to take action against illegal card holders

National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has started investigating the issuance of illegal CNICs to Afghan refugees over the past years. NADRA has also blacklisted 0.1 million Afghan refugees who applied for the renewal of CNICs. A NADRA official in Peshawar said that the facility provided several cards to the people living in Board, Tehkal, Khyber Bazaar and Karkhano Market areas. He said that due to security concerns, NADRA has started investigation and also requested security agencies to take action against illegal card holders.
