KARACHI:

The Sindh lawmakers condemned the brutal attack on Bacha Khan University in Charsadda by adopting a resolution and demanding expedition in the operation against terrorism.

Presenting the joint resolutions, the lawmakers belonging to both treasury and opposition benches expressed their condolences with the grieved families. The resolution was moved by senior minister Nisar Ahmed Khuhro, opposition leader Khawaja Izharul Hasan, PTI parliamentary leader Samar Ali Khan and others.

Before the resolution was adopted, some lawmakers gave emotional speeches and asked the federal government and security agencies to implement the National Action Plan in letter and spirit. “After the APS attack, it was announced to wipe out the terrorism within a couple of years. But unfortunately, these incidents continue to take place,” said Khuhro. Hasan was of the view that Pakistan was waging a proxy war of other countries in Karachi, Quetta and Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and it should stop doing that.
