Street crime: Boy injured during robbery attempt

Gadai police have registered a case against three unidentified assailants

DERA GHAZI KHAN: Three robbers shot and injured a 14-year-old boy in Dera Ghazi Khan on Wednesday. Gadai police said that Muhammad Nasir, a resident of Siri Wali village, was on his way to his school on a motorcycle. “Three masked men who were riding a motorcycle intercepted him in a street near Paigah. They told him to get off the motorcycle. When Nasir resisted, they shot him in the leg and fled,” police said. They said that several residents of the village came out of their houses on hearing the gunshots. Nasir was taken to a hospital. Doctors treating him later said that he was in stable condition. Gadai police have registered a case against three unidentified assailants.
