Busted: Four kidnappers arrested
Alleged kidnappers were arrested after brief encounter with CTD on outskirts of Mardan
PESHAWAR:
The counter-terrorism department arrested four kidnappers after a brief encounter in the outskirts of Mardan. A press release issued on Tuesday by the CTD stated police received a tip-off that some kidnappers were entering Mardan from Mohmand Agency in a white car. Based on this information, the CTD officials signalled a car to stop. But instead of stopping, the occupants of the car opened fire on the police and tried to escape. Police retaliated, and after a brief encounter, managed to arrest four suspected kidnappers.
