Horoscope: January 20, 2016

Your stars today

Aries | March 20 – April 19

Little is more exasperating than those who simply refuse even to discuss changes in existing arrangements, or new ideas. The fact is they’re anxious, probably in way that you, as an Aries, rarely experience. Knowing that, proceed, but update others regularly. Doing this will help them overcome those worries.

Taurus | April 20 – May 20

For ages you’ve been encouraging those closest to take the initiative, to pursue goals they’re passionate about, or challenge those they disagree with. Now they are, and the outcomes are impressive. Still, while you didn’t intend this to include you, the resulting clashes will do wonders to clear the air.

Gemini | May 21 – June 20

You’re undoubtedly already dealing with many of the issues typical of your ruler, Mercury, being retrograde, which it will be until next Monday the 25th. But it’s worth noting that this particular cycle accents partners and associates, and as a result, spotting and correcting errors is their problem, not yours.

Cancer | June 21 – July 22

Sometimes arguments really involve no more than a difference of opinion. Now, however, they could reveal unspoken issues. These began as minor misunderstandings but are turning into serious problems. Although it may seem you’ve nothing to apologise for, try it. The resulting discussions will be as surprising as they are informative.

Leo | July 23 – August 22

It’s unlike you to sidestep dramas. Not only do you have a theatrical side, you’d always rather confront an issue than avoid it. Yet now your instincts are saying to play it cool. They’re right. In fact, with Mercury still retrograde, the less you discuss or debate, the better.

Virgo | August 23 – September 22

After a couple of unsettling and often challenging weeks, you’re in no mood to take chances. Yet the complications you’ve been contending with are triggering timely changes and ushering in terrific ideas. For now, do no more than explore these. Once you’ve learnt more about them, you’ll be glad you did.

Libra | September 23 – October 22

For you, as a Libra, creating and maintaining harmony is a priority. By now you’d think you’d have realised that certain individuals genuinely don’t care about such matters. Still, the casual aggressiveness of somebody in particular astonishes and upsets you. Since they won’t change, you’d best get used to them.

Scorpio | October 23 – November 21

Clearly, certain tricky matters must be discussed, and frankly. It’s just you’d prefer to find the right time, then deal with them all, one by one. Appealing as that seems, with Mercury retrograde and meeting your ruler Pluto twice before the end of January, you’re better off tackling these in stages.

Sagittarius | November 22 – December 21

From your perspective, a plan’s a plan. At the moment, however, it would be unwise to proceed on that assumption. True, one particular individual or an organisation might have agreed to certain arrangements recently. But circumstances are changing and so are their priorities, far more than you realise.

Capricorn | December 22 – January 19

It’s rare that any one planet encounters another three times within a brief period. But Mercury is meeting the truthful Pluto in Capricorn three times, once late last December, and on the 22nd and 30th of this month. Each will reveal facts that will explain perplexing difficulties, past and present.

Aquarius | January 20 – February 17

As a clear-thinking air sign, you rarely sidestep the facts out of concern they could upset others. But certain individuals do and, in fact, have recently. While asking them exactly what truths they’ve avoided is unlikely to achieve much, you can be alert for information they give that doesn’t seem right.

Pisces | February 18 – March 19

For weeks, you’ve been trying to get to the bottom of several matters that just don’t make sense. Now that you’re benefitting from the influence of the current link between Mercury and the uncompromisingly truthful Pluto, those facts are bound to surface, and possibly without you even saying a word.
