Road fatality: One killed, another injured in accident
The accident is not the first of its kind on the GT Road
TAXILA:
A 25-year old was killed in a collision with a dumper here on Monday as the National Highway and Motorway Police failed to keep a check on yet another speeding dumper on the GT Road. Muhammad Naeem and his friend Mohsin Ali were on their motorcycle when they collided with a dumper near Chachi Mohalla in the Wah Saddar police limits. As a result, Naeem was killed while Ali was critically injured. The accident is not the first of its kind on the GT Road, where dumper drivers claim many lives along the route every month. Despite this routine reckless driving, the police have yet to penalise these heavy vehicle drivers and enforce safe road conditions for commuters.
