Public health: Two ‘swine flu’ cases surface in Bahalwapur
There is no separate ward for patients of swine flu at the hospital

A woman was admitted to Bahawal Victoria Hospital with symptoms of swine flu. Doctors at the hospital said her tests had come out positive. Tests results of an patient with similar symptoms were awaited.

Naheed Akhtar was admitted to the hospital. Tests confirmed that she had been infected with the swine flu. Doctors said she had been given swine flu immunisation vaccine. Yaqub, a constable from Muzaffargarh, was also admitted to the hospital. Doctors said though it appeared that he was suffering from swine flu, lab results were awaited before the diagnosis was confirmed. There is no separate ward for patients of swine flu at the hospital. They have been admitted to the Emergency Unit Room No 35.
