SMS plea bargain: NAB files application in court

PESHAWAR:
National Accountability Bureau K-P has filed an application with the accountability court for the final approval to enter a plea bargain worth Rs258.7 million with former adviser to CM Syed Masoom Shah. The application was filed at the court of accountability judge Muhammad Ibrahim Khan after NAB chairman accepted Shah’s plea bargain or offer of voluntary return. The court, after receiving the application, fixed the hearing for January 19. The former adviser is in jail on judicial remand after he was arrested on charges of misusing his authority and embezzling funds worth millions.
