'Hardened criminals' : Rangers to grill two MQM workers for 90 days

They have been grilled under Section 11EEEE of the Anti-Terrorism Act

The Rangers informed the administrative judge of anti-terrorism courts about the 90-day preventive detention of two suspected shooters for questioning.



The suspects, Imran Raza and Mohsin alias Lamba, said to be affiliated with the Muttahida Qaumi Movement, were produced before Justice Syed Muhammad Farooq Shah.

The official of the paramilitary force, accompanied by their legal team, submitted detention orders and jail warrants for the suspects, contending that they were 'hardened criminals and an inquiry was to be launched against them.  According to a law officer of the Rangers, Raza has confessed to killing 11 people, while Mohsin is involved in a gun attack on Mohajir Qaumi Movement - Haqiqi chief Afaq Ahmed. They have been grilled under Section 11EEEE of the Anti-Terrorism Act, which allows the armed and civil armed forces  to detain any person suspected to be involved in terrorism activities for a period of three months.
