Planned outbreak: Proclaimed offender escapes
No casualties were reported in the firing incident
BARAWAL:
A proclaimed offender escaped while he was being taken to jail near Barawal Banda in Upper Dir. Police reported the accused, identified as Muhammad Gul, was wanted for his involvement in several murder cases.
When he was arrested Friday morning in Barawal, Gul’s unidentified accomplice opened fire on the police mobile, causing the van to stop. As a result, Gul managed to escape.
No casualties were reported in the firing incident. Police have started a search operation in Barawal and nearby areas.
