Murdered: Youth councillor shot dead
His body was shifted to Liaquat Memorial Hospital for a post-mortem and later handed over to relatives

A youth councillor was gunned down by unidentified persons in Nusrat Khel, Kohat Thursday morning. According to the police, 21-year-old village youth councillor of Nusrat Khel Asad Rehman was sitting in his hujra with friends when unidentified gunmen barged in and shot him before fleeing. Rehman suffered several bullet wounds to the chest and died on the spot. His body was shifted to Liaquat Memorial Hospital for a post-mortem and later handed over to relatives. Police reached the site and later conducted a search operation during which three suspects were arrested from the same area. An FIR was registered and investigation is under way. In 2015, two councillors of different political parties were shot dead within 24 hours by unidentified gunmen in Hangu and Kohat.
