Masked men bombed the control room of a power grid station in Matni area near Peshawar on Tuesday night.
Five masked men entered the control room and tortured an employee, Samiullah, who was on duty at the time, the spokesperson for the Peshawar Electricity Supply Company (Pesco) said.
Pesco chief Muhammad Wali has formed a committee to estimate the losses.
Power supply to various localities in the city, including New College, Matni, Pasanni, Hassan Khel, Mewa Aka Khel was suspended after the attack.
