Research Initiatives: Iranian consul general meets UoP VC
Begi and Jan agreed to take steps to resume the exchange of teachers and students

The newly appointed Iranian Consul General in Peshawar Muhammad Baqir Begi called on University of Peshawar Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Muhammad Rasul Jan on Tuesday, and discussed steps to strengthen academic and research relations between UoP and Iranian varsities. Begi and Jan agreed to take steps to resume the exchange of teachers and students. The consul general and vice chancellor decided to organise a joint workshop of researchers at UoP and those in Iran as the first step so they get to know about the expertise on both sides and build ties in future. On the occasion, Jan said Iran is fortunate to have scientists who use indigenous resources for research and contribute to the field of science and technology.
