Road accidents: Five killed, 15 injured in separate incidents

According to the injured passengers, the driver was speeding, which resulted in the mishap

Five people, including a woman and a child, were killed and 15 others were injured in two separate road accidents in Kashmore on Tuesday.


The first accident took place near Buxapur, in which a Karachi-bound passenger coach went out of the driver's control and fell into a roadside fish farm. As a result, four persons, including a woman, were killed and 15 others were injured. The driver managed to escape.


The deceased were identified as Mai Bakht Bhari, Aneel Maseeh, Ahmed Khan and Dil Nawaz Khan, while the injured were identified as Mai Mehtab, Sawera, Kiran, Yasmeen, Ameer Zada and others. They were shifted to Kashmore Hospital. According to the injured passengers, the driver was speeding, which resulted in the mishap.

In the other incident, which took place near Dakhan Bungalow, a Peshawar-bound passenger coach ran over children playing by the roadside. As a result, a seven-year-old girl, Hazooran Dasti, was killed on the spot. The Kashmore police, when informed, rushed to the scene and impounded the coach. They also arrested the driver, identified as Ibrahim Pathan.
