Jamaat-e-Islami Central Ameer Sirajul Haq said Malakand Division was badly affected by earthquakes and floods. “Leaving the land out of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor would be an injustice.” He was speaking at Grassy Ground in Swat at a Seeratun Nabi event.

The map of the CPEC started from Malakand Division and, “We won’t accept any further changes,” Siraj stressed.

Elected representatives of Malakand Division will hold a grand jirga on January 10 (today) to ensure Malakand Division’s share in the CPEC and resolve any issues related to the project.

Siraj also pointed out NAB claims Wapda officials were involved in embezzlement worth billions. He said the corrupt officials would be exposed soon. “We want to end the concept of interest from banks and provide schemes through which underprivileged people can get loans.”

He also said Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif had vowed to end the concept of interest, but had failed to do so.
