SHABQADAR:
An Expanded Programme on Immunisation technician was killed by an rival along the border of Malakand and Charsadda on Friday.
A Mandani police official told The Express Tribune Anqar Baig Khan, a polio technician from a basic health unit in Tangi, Charsadda was killed. He was shot dead by an unidentified motorcyclist in the jurisdicition of levies post in Qaidabad, Malakand Agency.
When contacted, Field Supervisor Medical Officer Dr Farhad confirmed Baig Khan was an EPI Technician. Farhad said Baig Khan was near retirement and harboured personal enmity. Local sources confirmed the same.
