Independents form Multan Azad Group

MULTAN:

Independent chairmen-elect of various union councils in the city have formed a coalition titled the Multan Azad Group. Khawaja Salman Siddiqi, Rao Mazhar-ul-Islam and Haji Rafiq addressed a joint press conference on Thursday. They said the move would benefit the people of Multan. They said 17 chairmen had been elected in the third phase of the local government elections in Multan district and 14 chairmen had joined hands to form an independent group. They said that the masses had expressed confidence in them in the elections. “Now, it is our responsibility to solve their problems and come up to their expectations.”
