Park-and-ride plaza: Shops go under the hammer on January 26

Lahore Development Authority says open auction of shops to be held on January 26.

LAHORE: An open auction of the shops in the newly constructed Park-and-ride Plaza will be held on January 26, said Ehsanul Haq, the Lahore Development Authority (LDA) additional director general on Tuesday.

He was briefing a Turkish delegation of a state owned development company, ISBAK. Haq said that the proceedings will be conducted in the presence of media to ensure transparency.

He said that the concept of Central Business District has been introduced by the LDA with a view to providing better facilities for business centres. He said these areas will start from Mozang Chungi and will comprise the areas surrounding Jail Road, Main Boulevard, Gulberg and M M Alam Road. He said that special arrangements for commuting will be undertaken in these areas in the form of metro-service and specialised arrangements like civic amenities and parking lots will be constructed.
