Transparent or not: NAB probes metro bus project
National Accountability Bureau has started collecting record of the mega project from the RDA's Engineering Branch
RAWALPINDI:
The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has initiated a probe into the records of the Rawalpindi/Islamabad Metro Bus Project.
The NAB has started collecting the record of the mega project from the Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA)’s Engineering Branch.
However, when the RDA Engineering Branch director and acting chief engineer, Asghar Hussain, was contacted, he avoided discussing the matter.
The NAB will evaluate the record of the project including contractors’ pre-qualification before award of the contract, cost of material and other financial matters. The NAB will share its observations regarding the status of the project after making a complete inspection of the records.
