Banned material: Bookseller gets five-year prison term
The judge sentenced Shakoor to eight years’ rigorous imprisonment and Mazhar was sentenced to five years
FAISALABAD:
An anti-terrorism court on Tuesday fined and sentenced a man to eight years of rigorous imprisonment and his associate to five years imprisonment for selling prohibited material and books. The Counter Terrorism Department stated that Abdus Shakoor was caught selling prohibited and banned material and books at his book depot. A case was registered against Shakoor and Mazhar, the bookstore manager, and a challan was presented before the ATC Faisalabad. The judge sentenced Shakoor to eight years’ rigorous imprisonment and Mazhar was sentenced to five years rigorous imprisonment.
